It is hard to discuss the latest and the final book in the Harry Potter series without giving away the plot. But it was an engaging read, and is one of the best in the series of seven.
This book delves deeper into the past and personality of Albus Dumbledore and how Harry relates to him. How Harry recognizes his destiny and what he must do, is the story of the book.
The distinction between good and evil is blurrier in this book, compared to the previous books. That good and evil are part of all of us, is a central theme in the book and it is shown various characters. In the end it is the choices we make, and the actions we take, determines who we are. Courage in face of tough situations and pain is emphasized again.
There are parts of the book that are self-sufficient and sequential. This makes it possible to skip certain chapters by just reading what happened in the end if one is in a hurry to carry on with the suspense. But the chapters towards the end are intense and full of meaning, and should be read slowly to enjoy the writing.
In all it is a great end to a great series by JK Rowling.
